Responsibilities

  • Undertake design project from concept to completion
  • Define project requirements and schedule during the "brief"
  • Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans
  • Set costs and project fees according to budget
  • Research and decide on materials and products sourcing
  • Produce "sample" and "mood products"
  • Supervise work progress
  • Work closely with designers, decorators, architects and constructors

Job Title: Production Manager (Timber & Wood industry)

Specific Responsibilities

The production manager is responsible to ensure that all production is carried out in an efficient manner and as per the company's quality and delivery requirements. The PM will ensure that production planning incorporates all projects, current and future and includes set performance guidelines, increasing production targets on a monthly basis. The PM will be in charge of production staff; that is, to ensure that they are working within the company's health and safety policy and the required performance targets.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Production and Planning
  • Excellent planning, time management skills and monitoring skills
  • Ability to read technical drawings is a must 0.
  • 5-10 years' experience in the timber industry is a prerequisite
  • An ability to work under tight schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret design & shop drawings.
  • Prepare shop drawings & coordinate with other services drawings.
  • Develop technical requirement/schedule for consultants' approval.
  • Assists in preparation & implementation of Project Execution Plan (PEP).
  • Attends the Weekly Progress Meetings including sub-contractors' meetings.
  • Monitors work in progress & prepare weekly report of the status of each assignment.
  • Ensure that all materials used & work performed are in accordance with the specifications.
  • Coordinates with all project related personnel on day-today progress of work activities.
  • Interpret and Prepare programme of works with respect to main works.
